Looks Like We Made It

Finally, the boy is back to normal. He's feeling much better - so much better that he thinks that two naps a day is for suckers. Or, I think he said, "Suckahs." Sometimes he's hard to understand.

On the developmental side, we've got lots of proof that he understands much of what we say to him. He can identify his nose, ears, toes and sometimes at Matt's prompting he'll do this cute thing where he lays his cheek against me and kind of coos, "Ahhhh." Which translates into, "We love mamaaaa." I completely melt into a little pile of smitten goo every time he does it.

Also cute, the replacement in my heart and mind of the romper. It wasn't easy to let it go, even though I know - I know a short, curvy gal like myself should never, ever wear anything that is a tube top, let alone a tube top with no defined middle attached to cool-lots. (I have no idea how to properly spell that fashion monstrosity of skirt meets shorts. I refuse to look it up.)

So, while Vince was stirring the cat water with my toothbrush, I posed in front of the mirror to show off my new summer item.

In summation - no puking, cute sundress - life's a carnival in Merriam Park. Yay summer!

  1. Of course, my question is WHERE did you get it and WHY didn't we go there on Saturday?

  2. Target. We go there every other day of the week. I don't know where this one was hiding. I found it on the clearance rack. Only $1 more than the romper!

  3. Nice! I need to get out and replace some of my summer clothes but usually decide use any free time I have to nap instead of drive to town to shop.
