I do love seeing other people's dressed up babies, but just like I didn't go nuts for Christmas last year, I feel like he's too young to really get it. Instead last year I dolled him up in orange and black adorned with a skull and crossbones skullie cap I bought at Target.
Sadly, this year, he doesn't even have any orange and despite my best efforts I cannot cram that hat onto his much larger head. The rock n roll skull and crossbones socks and skull adorned t-shirt will just have to do. He does have a baby Johnny Rotten flair to him.
This year I decided I'd try him out on another great wonder of the Halloween traditions - chocolate. He still can't say trick or treat, but I think I got him to say "shoe" this morning. That's close enough. So, I busied myself in the kitchen making some double chocolate chip cookies finished with an orange zest embellished sea salt to give away to some of our friends. Since the batter is egg free, I figured it was time he learned what's so great about making cookies for your friends.
Licking the spoon! Happy Halloween to all of you! I hope you're fueled with just the right amount of sugar to make you a little jumpy and easily spooked.
How do you make egg free cookies?
